Kamakoa Page Zablan established The Page Academy of Dance in 2008. Ms. Page’s diverse background and a passion for teaching young children has helped build and teach a standard methodology of classical ballet which nurtures young bodies, with age appropriate development and strong technique. Ms. Page trained under John Landovsky in Honolulu starting from the age of 3, and continued dance training with the Pittsburgh Ballet. She is a company member of the Tau Dance Theater here in Honolulu. Being part Hawaiian, Ms. Page was raised on Oahu and lives with her husband and 4 young children. Ms. Page enjoys inspiring young dancers to achieve their dancing dreams!
Peter Rockford Espiritu is the Founder, Executive & Artistic Director of Tau Dance Theater (TDT). TDT is a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable arts organization, founded in 1996. TDT is the only professional dance company based in Honolulu that is founded and directed by a Native Hawaiian. Mr. Espiritu attended the School of American Ballet in New York City, and received scholarships at the Colorado Dance Festival and American Dance Festival at Duke University.
Tau Y2 is the youth program for the company, based at Page Academy of Dance. Mr. Peter implements the work ethic and vision of both programs into his passion for teaching, investing in supporting the fundamentals of dance technique in our young dancers, giving them tools, and setting them up for success in every aspect of their daily lives. Dance Magazine says of Tau Dance Theater, "High energy choreography with technical and airy grace!" & “The audience was awed...”
"Exceptional instruction in ballet, I have a wonderful time every time I dance at Page Academy Of Dance" - Steven (Adult Ballet student)
